Homework 3

What it is? A music festival poster.

Its Function is to advertise for an upcoming music festival, "Barn-a-roo."

Where you saw it? I saw this at a friends apartment in Champaign hanging on the wall.

The Quality of the Artwork is surprisingly good for something that is not professional. There is great use of color contrast and having what is important standout without over crowding the poster.

The Style of the Design and the Typography are both more modern then any older designer styles. Possibly contemporary with a bit of postmodern or deconstructivism.

What attracted you to this piece? What I really enjoy about this piece is its use of dark and lights and the importance given to the bands and artists having each one have its own unique logo yet none of the logos seem to be out of place or destroy the poster as a whole. Everything compliments each other even when it seems like they wouldn't. It is very orderly yet fun.
